Deuteronomy 20:10
NIV:  When you march up to attack a city, make its people an offer of peace.
NAS:  "When you approach a city to fight against it, you shall offer it terms of peace.
KJV:  When thou comest nigh unto a city to fight against it, then proclaim peace unto it.
GWT:  When you approach a city to attack it, offer its people a peaceful way to surrender.
