NIV:  not given to drunkenness, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money.
NAS:  not addicted to wine or pugnacious, but gentle, peaceable, free from the love of money.
KJV:  Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous;
GWT:  He must not drink excessively or be a violent person, but he must be gentle. He must not be quarrelsome or love money.
ASV:  no brawler, no striker; but gentle, not contentious, no lover of money;
